Test Engineer (SC Cleared)
£475 Per Day
Bristol

Responsibilities:

  • Identifying test criteria and developing test scripts from low level documentation
  • Identifying test criteria and developing test scripts to support monthly BAU patching cycles (WSUS AV)
  • Identifying test criteria and developing test scripts to support change as directed by Programme Change Review Boards
  • Developing new OPNET Test Scripts for Core/Hub Services.
  • Developing and mature Regression Packs in support of monthly testing cycles
  • Weekly Status Reporting.
  • Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyse results
  • Create logs to document testing phases and defects
  • Report bugs and errors to relevant programme teams
  • Help troubleshoot issues
  • Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing as required
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Ensure all Test artefacts are consistent and of the highest quality


Experience (min 3 years)

  • Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester/ Live service Tester or similar role
  • Proven experience in performing functional, non-functional and regression testing of MS windows server products in complex Enterprise environments
  • Experienced in Black Box Testing | White Box Testing | SIT | SAT | UAT | OAT
  • Experienced in manual, automation and test management tools- e.g. HP Quality Centre, ALM, JIRA, Test Rails
  • Experience with documenting test procedures, preparing test documentation including test plans, test scripts, evidence collection, defect reporting


Essential Skills:

  • Well versed with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) testing concepts, Testing methodologies and techniques
  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing
  • Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
  • Working knowledge of test management software (e.g. Test Rails)
  • Attention to detail
  • Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills with diverse audiences
  • Ability to respond to changing project time scales and prioritise work accordingly
  • SC Clearance is a minimum
