My client is a leading British technology company and truck manufacturer, best known for its zero-emission Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) and hydrogen fuel cell range-extended vehicles. The Role:

Reporting to the Principal Engineering Manager this role involves working within a team of test engineers, who are responsible for all of the initial system testing.

The responsibilities include creating and running tests and associated test equipment to ensure that all systems meet product, functional safety, and quality targets. As well as the creation of all required design validation plans, documentation, code and ensuring compliance with automotive regulations.

This is a hands-on role where the incumbent is expected to make a major contribution to the wider team's technical output with a willingness to work outside their role and help other engineering disciplines if required


Test Engineer is an exciting domain to work within, entrepreneurship & a desire to create something for future technologies, possessing clear vision and innovation will be needed for this opportunity.

Furthermore, a degree in electronics design or experience or equivalent experience would all bring great value to the position. It is essential to have experience in testing of real-time embedded software and processor-based hardware designs. In addition, experience of testing and debugging software using logic analysers and oscilloscopes is crucial. It would also be desirable to have experience of building Hardware in the Loop (HIL) test environments and planning and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
