A world-leading Oil & Energy engineering firm, is looking for a Service Engineer to develop existing Oil Tool equipment designs. This is either to meet specific customer requirements, or the needs of the Oilfield industry in general.

In this role you will provide technical information, instructions and drawings within a planned schedule, as well as advice to customers and other departments on tool design, problems and solutions.



Responsibilities

  • To analyse and develop Product Design to meet customers' or the industry's needs, having an awareness of good economic design and safety, both in manufacture and function
  • To analyse, execute and progress repair dispositions to meet design functionality and to meet the customer's requirements or the industry's needs, having an awareness of good economic design and safety, both in manufacture and function
  • To engage in product development work
  • Discuss the customer's requirements, to identify company products which meet these
  • Give technical advice on the application and proper use of company products
  • Prepare technical documentation and provide the service necessary for the repair group and other departments
  • Adhere to the procedures stipulated in the Engineering Procedures (EP's) and the Quality Assurance Manual (QAM). These may be modified in certain instances by Special Procedures (SP's) or customer purchase requirements
  • To ensure all work is undertaken in a safe manner in line with company health and safety guidelines

Requirements

  • Degree in an Engineering related subject
  • Proven experience in continuous improvement projects
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills including presentations, meetings and via written communication
  • Ability to problem solve
  • PC skills to include: SAP/PLM, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, AutoCad, MathCad and Inventor
