Job Summary

We currently have a very exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Engineering Manager to join our clients Process Systems team.

The Process Systems group designs, engineers and fabricates specialist oil, gas, water and solids processing equipment packages and facilities. These packages vary in size and complexity from single train vessels to multi-deck 2000t modules for both onshore and offshore facilities

The Senior Project Manager will manage the Project delivery of a Process Solution to Customer (either Package, Process Train of Equipment, or Process Module). The objective of Project would be to meet the defined scope, contractual specifications, schedule and company procedures whilst maintaining the margin as sold.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute projects to a high standard in collaboration with the delivery teams and in compliance with the Client Contract and internal procedures.
  • Lead, engage and motivate Project team direct reports by acting as a role model for the Company values and ensuring that systems and procedures are followed.
  • Liaise with internal Engineering, Procurement, Quality & Document Control teams to ensure a best practice and cohesive approach to project execution and completion.
  • Perform continuous monitoring and controls to minimise project risk and ensure safe delivery within quality requirements, schedule and budget.
  • Attend client bid clarification meetings, kick off meetings , HazOps, Pre-Inspection meeting and Functional Sign off.
  • Control the budget for each project, maintaining the agreed levels of expenditure and ensure that margins are controlled, monitored and maximised
  • Proactively contribute to the development of project management standards, processes and procedures.
  • Report the overall status of the projects to both internal and external stakeholders and initiate expediting as required.

Minimum Job Qualifications

  • Extensive, demonstrable experience within a Project Manager role, preferably from within the oil and gas industry
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of technology (preferably Chemical or Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent experience.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience of managing others.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a confident approach to negotiation, both with internal customers and external clients.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative with a flexible approach to work, and the ability to prioritise and manage your time effectively in an environment controlled by deadlines and schedules.
  • Strong attention to detail with a combination of technical skills and commercial skills alongside the ability to make correct judgements

  • Numerate & Computer literate (MS Word, Excel & Outlook)
