Job title - Reward Consultant - Performance, Planning and Strategy

Location - London, Canary Wharf/Remote

Rate - Up to £467 PAYE or Umbrella £599

Start date - ASAP

Contract - 6 months

Our financial services client is currently seeking a Reward Consultant - Performance, Planning and Strategy to join their team in the London office/remote working, this contract will initially be for 6 months.

Role Purpose

  • To support the delivery of the annual pay and performance cycle working in the Performance, Planning and Strategy team that oversees the cycle and drives financial planning for Reward
  • A critical part of the role is ensuring that a broad variety of sources and data are used to inform decision making and provide commercial bases for changes
  • The incumbent will do this by working with colleagues across Group Performance and Reward, Finance and HR People Analytics to align Reward outcomes with business performance and strategy

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure effective delivery of the annual cycle, potentially involving multiple stakeholders from inside and outside The Bank's
  • Hands-on involvement in planning and modelling for compensation, helping to forecast and review outcomes
  • Use data during the cycle to understand how it is progressing and identifying potential gaps or outliers that need attention
  • Plan and deliver the annual all-employee survey to gain insights
  • Support with writing and updating papers for the Group Remuneration Committee, Group Executive and People Committees, as well other senior management forums within HR
  • Assess the effectiveness of policies and processes and pro-actively recommend new and innovative approaches and solutions
  • Establish and maintain close working relationships with peers in the Group PM and Reward team, as well as colleagues across P&R, HR IT and People Analytics

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications

  • Stakeholder management and influencing skills with the ability to engage a diverse stakeholder group, including senior populations
  • Strong business acumen with an ability to link business strategy to people practices; ability to apply critical analysis and judgment when reviewing activities
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills; ability to interpret trends
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment and influence counterparts in global, regional, and country teams
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills and strong customer orientation
  • Proven track record of successful implementation of performance and reward initiatives
  • Ability and willingness to contribute to the broader team and work as an effective team member
