Job title - Project Manager (Assessment) - Group Talent
Location - London, Canary Wharf/Remote
Rate - Up to £475 PAYE or £601 Umbrella
Start date - ASAP
Contract - 6 months
Our financial services client is currently seeking two a Project Manager (Assessment) to join their team in the London office/remote working, this contract will initially be for 12 months.
Role Purpose
- Provide project management to support the delivery of the End-to-End Assessment Review project
- Play a key role in planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing the project
- Programme management and co-ordination of project activities and deliverables, on time and on budget
- Liaise with workstream team members where necessary and follow through on agreed actions to ensure momentum of delivery is maintained
- Drive project delivery proactively balancing scope, schedule, interdependencies, budget and risks
- Exercise independent initiative to overcome obstacles and deal with uncertainty
- Provide focus as to how the project aligns to the people priorities and business goals
- Define and implement effective project governance frameworks helping in decision making
- Set high expectations concerning quality and put in place quality assurance processes
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Chair and facilitate the project working group and Steerco meetings
- Report progress on actions, issues, dependencies, and risks making recommendations to influence decision making in order to maintain progress towards delivery
- Responsible for the project communication plan to effectively communicate with stakeholders
- Deliver results through subject matter experts, global and regional stakeholders
- Foster a 'Continuous Improvement' culture by facilitating Post Implementation Reviews and embed learnings with stakeholders
- Meet performance targets aligned to Programme objectives and role-model desired behaviours
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure assessment related activities are managed appropriately, engaging the relevant stakeholders at appropriate points throughout the project management life cycle
- Provide regular/timely status updates on project milestones and provision of information to the working group, SteerCo, and project sponsor
- Track, report and highlight any outliers in project spend
- Work closely with relevant stakeholders to create synergies and avoid duplications, conflicts or overlaps between project milestones/deliverables and overall Talent strategy
- Ensure global consistency whilst taking regional and country needs into consideration
Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications
Technical Skill Requirements
- Preferably PMP / Prince2 Qualified
Experience:
- Extensive experience of Programme and Project management skills and experience of managing large and complex global projects ideally within HR Function
- Multiple strong examples of the delivery of projects on time and on budget that achieve business case stated outcomes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, confident and ability to work at all levels
- Ability to synthesise and present complex data succinctly to senior stakeholders to drive decision making
- Knowledge of the external environment - regulatory, competitor and market.
