My client is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join their busy team based in Cardiff.
What you'll do
- Work with internal cross-functional teams and external customer to onboard and validate a new manufacturing line.
- Author and Perform IQ/OQ/PQ, DOE, TMQs and PFMEA.
- Generate Process Flow Diagrams and Process Work Instructions.
- Define maintenance and calibration procedures.
- Generate Risk Assessments
- Coordinate the training of Manufacturing Operators and act as a mentor and technical resource.
- Assess process performance and capability using the appropriate software, e.g. Minitab.
- to develop Process Validation and design transfer protocols and participate in manufacturing transfer, efficiency and reliability.
- Drive continuous improvements.
- Complying with safety practices, ensuring that all work is assessed and conducted in a safe manner, within Company and statutory requirements and regulations
- Providing support to, and working collaboratively with, Supply Chain, Project management, Product Management and Quality personnel in the formation of product requirement specifications that ensure customer satisfaction.
- Providing support to and working collaboratively with Sourcing, Supplier quality engineering in raw material performance managing, supplier audit via acting as technical expert.
- Technical writing of reports and product support materials to agreed timelines.
- Present and provide feedback to internal & customer project reviews.
Who you are
- Bachelor's Degree (hrs) in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in leading product and process Validation and Verification - including IQ/OQ/PQ, DOE and TMQs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including statistical process control. (SPC, CPK's , etc).
- Experience with PFMEA, MVP, Process flow, manufacturing plan, manufacturing instructions.
- Demonstrated team working and scientific coordination/leadership skills.
- Rigorous thinking, self-motivated, eager to learning new knowledge, able to work independent.
- Flexibility and adaptability.
- Technical writing of reports, publications and product support materials to agreed timelines.
- Familiarity with QMS ISO9001 & ISO13485 framework.
- Leading customer calls.
- Experience with advanced manufacturing and automated production line needs is desirable.
