Master Planner / Scheduler

Rate: £30 per hour - Umbrella
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop working knowledge of the company's products and processes to ensure optimal MPS stability
- Analyse the demand and supply balances at the part, product family and master schedule levels determining out of balance conditions, identifying alternatives and recommending action for approval
- Collaborate with Programs, Operations and Supply Chain to optimise supply schedules considering capacity and lead times
- Preparation of data for S&OP process, understand impact on hours for your product line
- Create and take full ownership of a Master Schedule that is stable and achievable
- Act as a key stakeholder and planning representative in the introduction and growth cycle of new product introduction
- Maintain system data (Oracle) to reflect agreed plans
- Understand root causes of plan instability and identify and implement corrective actions
- Analyse data to support planning decisions
- Weekly review of PO supply and release of purchase requisitions
- Understand Item Master attributes and their impact to incumbent supply
- Partner with sourcing to optimise supply lines in line with inventory holding targets, understand current excess and burndown
- Report on key metrics and associated cash investment to support stability
- Act on unplanned activity and compensate within supply line to maximise MRP stability
Qualifications / Experience:
- Have a working knowledge of MRP, MPS & S&OP
- IT literate, confident user of PC packages
- APICS education Desirable
- Working Knowledge of Oracle R12 desirable
- Demonstratable experience of building relationships and becoming a trusted partner of key stakeholders
- Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of planning, scheduling and forecasting within a manufacturing environment
