As a Manufacturing Quality Engineer, you will make a major impact on the business through your expertise, strong communication and organisational skills. Does this sound like you?

Role Responsibilities:

* Provide support on the factory floor as the first point of contact for quality issues or concerns in production
* Working with the team to developing corrective actions, solutions, and improvements - running structured problem-solving methods (e.g., 8D)
* Developing and implementing quality standards in production
* Inspection and testing material, equipment, process and products to ensure quality specifications are met
* Work closely with the Senior Manufacturing Quality Engineer on CPO (Customer Perfect Order) corrective actions and improvements
* Work with the Manufacturing Engineers and CI Engineer to highlight reoccurring quality topics and lead structured problem-solving analysis to address them

Your experience:

* Tenacious, with the ability to engage with and influence people from outside of their team to maintain high quality levels
* Great attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
* Competent dealing with internal and external staff/suppliers and customers at all levels
* Strong communication skills both verbal and written
* Able to co-ordinate and lead small teams
* A can-do attitude where all tasks are accepted as a challenge and opportunity to improve the business
* Lean Manufacturing knowledge
* Ability to interpret and present data effectively
* In-depth understanding of technical documentation

Your qualifications:

* Relevant business/commercial or manufacturing/engineering degree preferred - BEng/BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or relevant field
* Previous work experience as a Quality Engineer or similar role;
* Previous experience in manufacturing environment;
* Quality Management ISO 9001:2015;
* Good knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office package, especially Microsoft Excel;
* Improvement schemes, CAPA, PDCA cycles
* Internal auditor skills
* Understanding of Process flow diagrams, work instructions, template creation
* Knowledge of Medical, industrial measurement technology, microscopy products would be advantageous
