Reporting to the Principal Engineering Manager - Embedded Software, this role involves leading a small team of embedded software engineers, who are responsible for designing and implementing safety critical software, from inception for use in market leading innovative automotive applications.
The responsibilities include managing all aspects of the team in line with product, functional safety, quality and financial targets. As well as overseeing the creation of all required designs, documentation, code and ensuring compliance with automotive regulations.
This is a hands-on role where the incumbent is expected to make a major contribution to the team's technical output with a willingness to work outside their role and help other engineering disciplines if required.
- Knowledge of real-time embedded software designs
- Experience of writing software in C
- Experience of testing and debugging software
- Experience of writing PC applications (C++, C# etc)
