As a Lead Controls Engineer, you'll be part of a motivated team responsible for designing and applying Control and Protection functions for LCC and VSC HVDC schemes. This role presents an opportunity to innovate, expand your design skills, and develop professionally in the renowned field of power engineering. While based at our HVDC Centre of Excellence in Stafford, you may have the chance to collaborate internationally with other GE teams, test laboratories, suppliers, and customers.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Design Control and Protection functions for LCC and VSC HVDC schemes, focusing on HVDC converters and the forthcoming HVDC Grid.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as customers, suppliers, and other departments, to ensure successful project execution.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, consistently following engineering policies and procedures.
