Title: Instrumentation & Calibration Specialist
Location: Coventry
Duration: 3 months
Rate: £27 p/hour
Responsibilities:
* Identify and document the instrumentation and calibration requirements for all transitioning rigs
* Organise procurement of any additional tools, parts and equipment required to complete the instrumentation and calibration work
* Generate instrumentation documentation, including interface control documents, that captures rig configurations for the purpose of Engineer awareness, maintenance and repair
* Take a lead role in designing, specifying, obtaining and installing control room hardware (in collaboration with software provider)
* Complete any in-house calibrations required for the transitioning rigs and generate formal calibration certificates
* If required, perform instrumentation and calibration tasks to support business as usual test work on completed rigs
* Work closely with HSE and Test Engineers to ensure that instrumentation is compliant with health and safety standards
Education level required, language skills, specific knowledge
* Technical degree or technical qualification with relevant experience
* Strong collaboration, time management and delivery focus
* Hands on Microsoft Excel and Word documents
* Technical qualification/certificate to work on 240v AC circuits
Skills and specific abilities
* Specialist skills in instrumentation and calibration to the extent that the individual requires no technical support to complete tasks to a high standard, and can advise others
* HSE aware
* Experience with the use of LabVIEW programming
