Starting Salary: £39,800+

What You'll do:

As a Hydraulic Fitter, you will:

  • Assemble and test Braking System components, ensuring traceability
  • Contribute to Daily Layered Accountability meetings
  • Evaluate, repair, and modify production returns (fault finding)
  • Take charge of inspection and associated paperwork
  • Collaborate in a team for continuous improvement

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with hydraulics
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Familiarity with a variety of test equipment such as linear and pressure transducers, load cells, flow meters, multi-meters, dielectric testing equipment, bonding meters, power packs, and hydraulic pressure rigs
  • Understanding of torque values and equipment
  • Basic soldering skills, with a preference for experience in Lee Pin plugging and threaded insert techniques
  • Experience with DATA acquisition testing systems, LabView, and building complex hydraulic assemblies and sub-assemblies
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Engineering Apprenticeship (City & Guilds) with experience in assembly environment

What else do you need to know?

  • The hours for this role are on a weekly rotating shift of Mornings (6am-2pm Mon-Thu, 6am-12:45pm Fri) and Afternoons (2pm-10:15pm Mon-Thu, 12:45pm-6:15pm Fri)
  • Overtime available on evenings and weekends once fully trained
