Title: Electronics Engineer
Location: Bristol
Duration: 9 months
Rate: £30-45 p/h
Roles and Responsibilities
Electronics development:
- Design and development of electronics in critical projects
- Produce detailed PCB designs and documentation, prototype designs and validate performance goals
- Present and participate in design reviews, risk analysis and failure mode investigations
- Design, build and maintain power and control system for industrial robotics
- Fabricate test Jigs for new hardware and write commissioning scripts
- Expierence in USB, comm protocol and related hardware.
Key qualifications
- Good degree (or equivalent level) in a rigorous engineering, scientific, or mathematical subject
- High level of mathematic ability
- Proven experience of delivering product solutions designed for manufacture
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Excellent diagnostic skills of complex electro-mechanical systems
- Excellent communication skills
Desired skill and knowledge
- Positive, self-motivated, enthusiastic and able to apply a high level of initiative
- Experience of working in a high-tech engineering company
- Good organisation skills, able to prioritise under pressure and work to tight deadlines
- Experience in:
- PCB design, testing and diagnosis
- Control theory and gain setting
- Good programming for embedded systems, particularly in C and C++.
