The Role

The difference our new electrical technician will make
As an Electrical Technician, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary.
You will often work independently of Babcock management to assist the Authority SECA Officer to perform duties as directed.


Day to day, you'll over-see building and asset management, auditing and reporting, reviewing of drawings and models.
In this role you will help generate significant value by providing support to our customer and will help us make the world a safer place for all. You will be working in a small but highly effective team where the highest of standards will be expected from both a technical and behavioural perspective.

Essential experience

* Working knowledge of electrical installations
* 18th edition electrical wiring (desirable)
* Understanding and interpretation of drawings
* Knowledge of Facilities and Infrastructure
* Sufficient competence in safety, health and environment policy and Laws
* Sufficient competence in 'Supervising Safely', including the use of safe systems of work (SSoW)
* Adequate knowledge of Safe Working Practices and Principles of Communications Systems (ref City & Guilds 3666-01)
* Sufficient competence in the ability to make off-standard cables and terminate cables
* Sufficient competence in electrical safety.
