They are looking for an experienced and motivated Development Engineer with substantial industry knowledge to join their team at their Cambourne site where they are developing cutting-edge electron microscopy solutions.
The Role:
As a Development Engineer, you will play an essential role in the product development process.
You will:
- Contribute to the development of new and existing products and processes
- Generate technical improvements and solutions
- Maintain system specifications to meet manufacturing and quality needs during series production
- Utilise your electronics/mechanical/software skills to investigate faults and develop solutions
What do you need for the role?
Essential:
- Degree educated in relevant engineering discipline (electronic/electrical, mechanical, physics etc.)
- Proven problem-solving capability with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of an interdisciplinary team
Desirable:
- Ability to effectively lead small projects while adhering to timescales
- Manufacturing engineering experience (electromechanical/electronic/electrical etc.)
- Experience with the development and implementation of new products
- Knowledge and experience of engineering change-management processes
- Excellent time-management and analytical skills
Qualifications:
- Degree educated in relevant engineering discipline (electronic/electrical, mechanical, physics etc.)
- ISO-9001
