Customer Account Rep

Full Time/FTC

Mon to Fri

£24,000 - £26,000 p/a

About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Account Rep to join FTSE 250 International company specialising in components and sub-systems for the Aerospace, Defence and Energy markets. My Client provides Engine Systems including Flow Control, Thermal Systems, Engine Composites and Engine Sensors for both Civil and Defence Aerospace Customers.

My Client's aircraft seals are highly complex and subject to stringent safety and design criteria. They have used their engineering expertise to create over 10,000 designs. Over 7000 of these are in series production.

Using your experience as a Customer Account Rep, you will:

  • Be responsible for receiving, reviewing, and entering purchase orders into the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
  • Raise quotes and customer documentation, prioritising workload to ensure the customer always receives an excellent service.
  • Update and maintain customer order books in line with customer expectation
  • Respond to various customer emails and telephone calls to manage their orders and enquiries; the Customer Account Representative will serve as the primary point of contact by customer's buyers and supply chain personnel.
  • Organise site visits to my Client's facilities and set up customer meetings as required.
  • To be always professional, escalating any issue or potential issue to your line manager immediately
  • Track and reconcile internal and external customer scorecards, including verifying the metrics by which customers judge my Client.
  • Produce costing sheets in collaboration with colleagues from Procurement, Demand Planning and Manufacturing departments as required to produce accurate quotes.
  • Use SAP product recognition to identify runner/repeater parts and what can be sold to the customer and check lead times. For any stranger/alien elements, raise the relevant enquiry process.
  • Upon receiving orders for "out-of-production" products, gather the information necessary to prepare a quotation, including pricing, production time, and my Client's terms and conditions.
  • Deliver quotations to customers and coordinate with various functional leaders to ensure you answer questions until the order is received or the opportunity is closed as lost.
  • Ensure you meet personal goals, KPIs and SLA's, bringing any potential failings to the attention of the Customer Service Manager as soon as they occur.
  • Seek every opportunity to gain extra business from allocated accounts by visiting customers and taking full ownership of accounts

The role is an excellent opportunity to utilise your Customer Account Rep experience in an innovative industry and progress through a successful career in the Aerospace sector. My Client provides full training and career development opportunities.
