I am working on an exciting new opportunity for a Commercial Business Partner to join a leading, global consultancy business. The business work across all industries and regions, combining expertise and industry experience with fantastic intellectual capital and technology.

The purpose of the role is to support and drive business growth through providing insightful financial analysis. You will report to the Head of Commercial Finance and have significant exposure to the management team.

Business Partnering Responsibilities:

  • Working on commercial areas of client contracts (revenues, costs, timing of invoicing, cashflow) to identify opportunities and mitigate risk
  • Accountable for project data ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Hold responsibility for driving profitability, identifying risks and providing commercial decision support to Senior stakeholders across the business
  • Improve working capital management to improve company cashflow.
  • Assessing impact on revenue accounting to ensure IFRS compliance
  • Provide training on the reporting system

Reporting responsibilities:

  • Support the development of new reporting for the business and achieve standardised self-service reporting through the new system.
  • Regional reporting, improving, and maintaining quality and standards.
  • Key commentary providing insightful, accurate data to regional VP's, wider Finance function and Quality Review Team.
  • Support the annual budget, monthly forecasting, and reporting.

You may also:

  • Work closely with the Head of Commercial Finance to identify key areas for process improvement across the Commercial function as well as designing and implementing these processes.
  • Provide financial insight/guidance to Senior Management and the Board to support strategic decision-making.
  • Financial Modelling particularly focusing on forward metrics.
  • Support the financial year-end audit.

In terms of you...

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or equivalent level of experience
  • Previous experience of project accounting principles and understanding of WIP management
  • Strong financial modelling skills (Excel)
  • Effective communication skills
  • Excellent time keeping on delivering targets and projects
  • Able to work effectively in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Proactive individual able to take initiative, and can independently drive work from idea stage to completion
  • Experience of working in professional services is highly desired
