Rate: £375.00 PAYE / £458.10 Umbrella

The purpose of this role is to successfully support the delivery of the Magnus Programme Downstream deliverables and outcomes.

The Magnus Programme has been mobilised to assess and uplift the Group's policies and frameworks which defines and governs how we design, operate, and assure the control environment, in order to meet expectations of regulators and other stakeholders over the completeness, accuracy and timelines of the Group's Financial and Regulatory Reporting. This will drive a cultural shift across Global Businesses and Functions to take ownership and accountability for ensuring a higher standard of control effectiveness and efficiency across all upstream and downstream processes that have an impact on the delivery of Financial and Regulatory Reporting.

The role holder is accountable for supporting the Magnus downstream programme Lead in defining the design principles and control outcomes that will be consistently applied across the end-to-end business and functional processes, to achieve both Financial and Regulatory Reporting. This will also include assessing and identifying areas across the Group where policies and frameworks need to be uplifted to meet the objective, and against which a set of defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) will be defined to be used for monitoring and communicating the performance and accountability of the control environment.

The design principles, standards and control outcomes will also be calibrated through the various change and transformation programmes, which will inform further changes required.

The role holder needs to be an energized, and high performing. They need to be able to proactively identify potential issues that may impact the overall programme delivery with a focus on delivering the desired outcomes and escalate on a timely basis.

· Outcome delivery orientated, handling changes as they arise and keeping programme lead informed on the progress of programme outcomes and benefits

· Proactively identify risks and issues and dependencies, and escalate to the programme Lead and take action to minimise impact

  • Key stakeholders have a clear view on requirements, and how well these are being achieved by the programme workstream
  • Effective communication to stakeholders on expected deliverables which is tracked and monitored
  • Challenge and conflicts are escalated as required and generate positive outcomes
  • Feedback from key stakeholders is positive

Operational Performance

· Owns delivery of relevant deliverables to a high standard and adhere to appropriate timetables for ad hoc work

  • Completion of deliverables within timelines to meet project key milestones

  • Work collaboratively and develop strong working relationships in a multi-functional programme team which bring together the required business (DBS, Finance, Risk, Global businesses)

Experience

  • Proven experience of positive, challenging interactions with senior stakeholders across the group
  • Proven ability in working across multi-disciplinary and multi-culturally diverse work environments
  • Strong analytical background and proven ability in analytical rigor, including being able to contextualize data into business activities and conclusions
  • Proven ability in successfully supporting design or implementation of large-scale, complex global / regional change initiatives
  • Proven experience of operating iterative delivery techniques at scale

Qualifications and Accreditations

Degree in related field or commensurate practical experience in risk and controls
